*The family of a 5-year-old girl named Beautyful, a child with Autism, has launched two powerful public initiatives seeking justice after a shocking incident in her Inglewood, California, classroom. The child was allegedly assaulted when her teacher, identified as Eunice Emily Aguilar, threw a shoe that struck Beautyful in the head.
Compounding the trauma, two staff members present, who are mandated reporters, reportedly did nothing to intervene and were seen laughing as the young girl broke down in tears.
In response, the family has mobilized a two-pronged campaign. The first is a Change.org petition demanding the immediate arrest of teacher Eunice Emily Aguilar and the two staff members who witnessed the event.
The petition argues their inaction and mockery represent a profound breach of their duty to protect children. Simultaneously, a GoFundMe initiative has been established to help cover the costs of additional therapeutic support for Beautyful as she copes with the physical and emotional aftermath of the attack.

Leading the public advocacy charge is Najee Ali of the National Action Network’s Los Angeles chapter, who is advocating on behalf of Beautyful’s mother, Michelae Jones. Ali has forcefully condemned the lack of immediate arrest, framing it within a broader context of racial disparity.
“I sincerely believe that if an African American teacher had taken her shoe off and hurled it, hitting a white disabled child, that teacher would have been arrested immediately,” Ali stated. He continued, “The fact that Eunice Emily Aguilar is still walking around free after the video was released publicly speaks to how those in authority view the lives and safety of African American children.”
Ali issued a direct ultimatum to the Lennox Sheriff’s Department, giving them 48 hours to arrest Aguilar for the assault. “If an arrest isn’t made by then, expect a major action outside the Lennox Sheriff’s Department,” he declared.

The family has received a surge of community support, culminating in a rally Friday evening outside the Destiny Development Center. The demonstration saw the powerful presence of Congressmember Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who stood alongside dozens of supporters, family members, and the family’s attorney, Austin Dove. Together, they collectively demanded Aguilar’s arrest and systemic accountability from the daycare center’s owners and all staff responsible for child safety.
As the national spotlight grows, the family’s twin initiatives—one seeking legal accountability and the other aimed at healing—highlight a determined pursuit of justice for a vulnerable child failed by those entrusted with her care.
