Amazon Driver Caught on Tape Making Racial Threats in Cudahy
*Civil rights activist Najee Ali and his organization, Project Islamic Hope, are calling for immediate action after a white Amazon delivery driver was caught on video making racially charged threats against an African American female tenant in Cudahy, California.
The incident, which occurred on June 10, has sparked outrage in the local community and beyond. According to reports, the driver entered a gated property at 4312 Elizabeth St. but later became trapped inside.
He then left a violent, racially motivated voicemail that included the N-word and death threats: “F***ing Ni**** you locked me in, I will kill you, F***ing, Ni**** B***h!”
“No one can deny that this white Amazon delivery driver threatened an African American female tenant with violence,” said Najee Ali, director of Project Islamic Hope. “We are calling for criminal prosecution and his immediate termination by Amazon.”

Amazon Accused of Ignoring Complaints for Nearly Two Weeks
Community members say that despite repeated attempts to alert Amazon management, the company has failed to take meaningful action. Joel Estrada, a local resident and community advocate, sent multiple emails to Amazon’s regional manager Ruby Velasquez but has received no response.
“We gave Amazon every opportunity to respond privately and respectfully,” said Estrada. “But they ignored us, so now we’re going public.”
The video and audio recordings of the threats have now been released to the public. According to advocates, the content clearly shows the driver using racial slurs and threatening to kill the manager, who he mistakenly believed had locked him in.
Najee Ali and Project Islamic Hope Call for Criminal Charges
Project Islamic Hope is now urging the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, led by Nathan Hochman, to open a criminal investigation into the driver’s actions. They are specifically calling for charges of making terroristic threats motivated by racial hatred.
“This is more than offensive language—this is a direct, violent threat against a Black woman,” said Ali. “There must be legal consequences for threatening someone’s life using racial slurs.”

Press Conference Scheduled to Demand Justice
In response to Amazon’s silence and the severity of the incident, Najee Ali and community leaders will hold a press conference to escalate demands for accountability.
- Date: TODAY, Monday, June 23
- Time: 5:00 PM
- Location: 4312 Elizabeth St, Cudahy, CA 90201
The press conference is being held in front of the building where the incident occurred and is co-sponsored by Project Islamic Hope, Joel Estrada, and residents of the property.
Community Demands Immediate Action from Amazon
The message from residents and advocates is clear: Amazon must not tolerate racism or threats of violence from its employees. Najee Ali and others are demanding the driver be terminated immediately and held legally accountable for his actions.
“This is not just a labor issue—it’s a civil rights issue,” Ali stated. “We’re not backing down until justice is served.”
The community continues to await a formal response from Amazon and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as pressure mounts to take decisive action.
