*“Abbott Elementary” is doing a crossover episode in season 4, that series creator Quinta Brunson said will “change television as we know it.”
Brunson teased the episode at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, saying, “We will be doing an interesting crossover this season but I’m not gonna tell you with who or what or when, but it will be exciting, and I think it will change television as we know it.”
Brunson wouldn’t say more than that, but she told Variety she loved watching the Disney Channel crossover episodes that brought together the casts of That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and Hannah Montana.
“Those things are what reinvigorate TV viewers, TV watchers, and I think it’s always fun to find ways to reinvigorate our audiences,” she said. “What’s important with Abbott is we protect the show. Because it’s a ‘mockumentary’ we have to protect what we’re doing, but to find a way for it to still be possible to do something cool like that. It makes me really, really happy. It’s just like an ode to the medium.”
“I just live for those kind of magic moments, and I’m excited to be able to bring one to TV with Abbott,” she continued.

The “Abbott Elementary” cast shared their dream guest stars with PEOPLE, with William Stanford Davis propping Halle Berry as his “love interest” while Tyler James Williams wants Solange Knowles to portray the sister his character Gregory Eddie doesn’t know he has.
“I feel like Quinta has been so great about bringing in people that I didn’t know about,” co-star Chris Perfetti added. “But, fit seamlessly in the world of Abbott and are just like so talented and such forces. And so I feel like my dream guest star is again, somebody I don’t know about yet.”
“Abbott Elementary” Season 4 will premiere on ABC on Oct. 9 at 9:30 p.m. Seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Hulu.
