Nia Long and Ime Udoka Reach A $32,500 Monthly Child Support Agreement | WATCH Reactions

*If you’ve been looking for an update on the Nia Long and Ime Udoka custody battle situation, we’ve got just what you’re looking for. The actress and the NBA coach have come to an agreement regarding their son who is now 12.

The two will share joint custody of Kez Sunday Udoka with Long receiving a whopping $32,000 in monthly child support payments, per court documents obtained by The Blast. It was noted that Udoka’s monthly disposable income is $465,804.

Here’s how the custody agreement will play out. Because of his job as head coach of the Houston Rockets and the associated travel commitment, Ime Udoka only sees his son about 5% of the time when he isn’t traveling with his team.

Udoka has to give Long a written heads-up notice via email at least 10 days beforehand when he wants to visit the youngster in Los Angeles where he lives with his mother.

As far as decision-making regarding the child, Udoka will maintain their son’s health and dental insurance, and both parents will make collaborative decisions regarding his health, education, and welfare. However, in cases of disagreement, Long holds the authority to make decisions for their child, with advanced notice to Udoka.

The custody battle initially began when Long filed legal documents seeking sole physical and legal custody of their son, with visitation rights for Udoka. Udoka responded by seeking joint custody, including equal authority in important decisions.

As we reported, Udoka’s infidelity precipitated the breakup between the two and led to his termination from the Boston Celtics.

On several occasions, Long has spoken publicly about the emotional toll the split has taken on their son. She was hurt by the Celtics organization for showing no concern for her and her children’s safety and well-being after it publicly announced their private situation.

And for those who for whatever reason believe Long and Udoka are still in a relationship, the actresses’ rep made it clear that they are “no longer together but remain fully committed to co-parenting their son.”
