*The fictional R&B group Butta from Power Book III: Raising Kanan has become an increasingly central part of the storyline from the beginning of Season 3 which just concluded. Now, it looks like young actresses Aliyah Turner and Liv Symone will be central parts of season 4 as well.
Recently, EURweb sat down with Turner and Symone, the young ladies who play Krystal and Iesha, to discuss Butta, the show, the excitement, how much alike they are to their characters, and what audiences can expect moving forward. As we said, the season finale of Power Book III: Raising Kanan is upon us, and with it comes the realization that we will all have to wait a while to see what the outcomes are.
What Power Book III: Raising Kanan has in spades over other shows of its type is the masterful way the writers have woven characters into the central narrative as knitters weave yarn into patterns and tapestries.
The story arc involving the rebellious and talented Jukebox, played by Hailey Kilgore (and 1/3 of Butta), has had plenty of ups and downs throughout the season.
Jukebox, the confidant and voice of reason for Kanan (played by Mekai Curtis) has branched off into a burgeoning singing career that features three young ladies with parallel talents. The three of them form the fictional group Butta.
As is often the case personalities clash as talents blend and all heck breaks loose. But, when push came to shove, it was Jukebox doing much of the pushing.
What’s next for Butta? What’s going to happen between Kanan and Krystal? Heck, what’s going to happen between Iesha and Jukebox? Is she (Jukebox) going to join the Army on the precipice of stardom?
