*Social media food critic Keith Lee has shared his list of the top 8 cities from his 2023 food tour.
Lee ranked New Orleans the No. 1 spot, and Houston was second best on the list.
“Speaking of almost every spot we visited being delicious, Houston was one of those places,” Lee said. “It was one place that carried Houston for me — The Puddery.”
Lee claims he received death threats late last year after reviewing various soul food restaurants in Atlanta. As SandraRose.com reported, Lee appeared on the “Ryan Cameron Uncensored,” podcast and said he won’t return to Atlanta because “People there put a hit out on me.”
As expected, Atlanta placed 8th on Lee’s list.
Lee boasts 18 million followers on TikTok, and his food reviews have been featured on major news programs, including Inside Edtion. He has reviewed The Real Milk & Honey, Juci Jerk, Atlanta Breakfast Club, Lil Baby’s The Seafood Menu, and most recently, Kandi Burruss’ ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant.
In an interview with TODAY.com, Lee explained his journey to becoming a viral sensation.
“It took two years to get to 1.6 million. It took three months to get to 11 million and within those three months, I started doing full reviews every day,” Lee said. “I’m a foodie. I think I brought back natural foodies in the space of food critics. Most of the critics are polished and they only go to certain restaurants and they go to certain spots. They only stay in a certain niche.”
