*Jeezy has reversed his decision to seek full custody of his and Jeannie Mai’s 2-year-old daughter.

Page Six reports that the rapper now wants to split custody of daughter Monaco, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

We reported earlier that Jeezy filed legal docs seeking to be Monaco’s custodial parent. According to TMZ, the rapper initially wanted the “judge to toss out the current custody and parenting time arrangement he hashed out in mediation with his estranged wife … and requesting that his daughter be allowed to live with him full-time,” the outlet writes.

Jeezy and Jeannie reportedly reached a parenting arrangement schedule for their daughter during mediation. However, according to new documents, the hip-hop star said he wants full-time custody of Monaco due to Mai’s busy schedule. He’s now backtracking on the request.

Jeezy filed for divorce in Atlanta, Georgia, in September 2023, after two and a half years of marriage. According to People, the filing states there is “no hope for reconciliation.”

Jeezy and Jeannie married in March 2021 and welcomed their daughter the following year. Jeezy’s divorce docs state that Mai acts “as a gatekeeper” when it comes to him “exercising parenting time with [Monaco].”

As Page Six reports, Mai previously denied that she is “gatekeeping” Monaco from him.

In November, the media personality claimed she “wanted to foster an open, supportive, and safe environment for both parents to actively participate in.”

Mai clarified in her declaration that the distance was a precautionary measure to safeguard Monaco, citing concerns that Jeezy was not securing firearms on his premises during visits with the toddler.

“It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being,” Mai’s attorneys wrote in legal documents.
