Flavor Flav Shuts Rumor Mill Down, Declares ‘No Beef’ With Chuck D

*Rumors of tension between Public Enemy‘s Chuck D and Flavor Flav have been exaggerated.

During a recent appearance.on “TMZ Live” on Dec. 22, Flav put talk of a PE break up to rest, stating there could not be a reunion with members of the legendary group because they never broke up. According to the “911 is a Joke” rhymester, Public Enemy and its members merely took a long break.

Although headlines over the years have been about drama between he and Chuck, Flav said things are good with him and there is “no beef.”

“You know what? Let me tell you like this. A lot of people been asking me,’Hey, when is Public Enemy gonna reunite?’ But my answer is this. We never broke up to reunite, you know what i’m sayin’. We just took a long break, you know what i’m sayin’,” Flav stated.”And not only that, but you know me and Chuck, we never really was beefin’. There wasn’t no beef because I love my partner, man and I know he loves me, too, you know.

“Sometimes, you know, you don’t see eye to eye on everything, you know what I’m sayin’, and the whole nine,” he continued. “But one thing about me and Chuck, we always manage to pull it back together to see eye to eye and to keep moving forward, you know what I’m sayin’

Flav’s rumor control comes after he and Chuck reunited in September at the 2023 iheartRadio Music Festival to debut their new song “Everywhere Man.” The pair took the stage at the event to perform the single as well as PE hits “Harder Than You Think,” “Fight the Power,” “Can’t Truss It,” and “Rebel Without a Pause.”

Look for the wide release of “Everywhere Man” on Jan. 10.
