*BET Media Group has launched two Tyler Perry FAST channels featuring comedy and drama series.
FAST channels are free, ad-supported streaming services that blend the advantages of both linear and on-demand programming into a single experience.
Perry fans can watch back-to-back episodes of his shows on BET Tyler Perry Comedy and BET Tyler Perry Drama FAST platforms such as Roku, Pluto TV, Plex, TCL, and FreeVee. According to Deadline, the channels feature “over 600 hours of primetime programming, best of highlights and cast conversations,” the outlet writes.
Per Deadline, shows such as Tyler Perry’s Sistas, Tyler Perry’s The Oval, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Tyler Perry’s Ruthless, All the Queens Men, Tyler Perry’s Zatima, and Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living are available on FAST channels. Tyler Perry’s Meet The Browns, Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots, Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse and Tyler Perry’s Too Close To Home will also be included.
“The introduction of Perry’s content to FAST channels is a momentous occasion in our partnership,” Louis Carr, President of Media Sales at BET Media Group, emphasized.
“We’re thrilled to provide Black audiences with a fresh avenue to enjoy Tyler Perry’s content and offer more access options for our original programming,” Carr added.
Earlier this year, Perry announced that he had inked a new multi-year deal with BET Media Group. The agreement includes renewing eight of his shows for the network and its streaming platform, BET+.
Per Variety, “BET has renewed “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” for its eighth season, “Tyler Perry’s The Oval” for Season 6 and “Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living” for a sixth season. Also renewed is “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” for its sixth season on BET (and 12th overall, having previously run in syndication and TBS),” the outlet writes.
BET+ will stream “Tyler Perry’s Zatima,” “Tyler Perry’s Ruthless,” Tyler Perry’s Bruh,” and “All The Queen’s Men.”
Additionally, the network has commissioned a new scripted series from Perry, “Route 187. According to Variety, the project is a drama about violence on a bus route.
