*Popular TikTok Food Critic Keith Lee claims he is receiving death threats after reviewing various soul food restaurants in Atlanta.

As SandraRose.com reports, Lee appeared on the “Ryan Cameron Uncensored,” podcast and said he won’t return to Atlanta because “People there put a hit out on me.”

Lee boasts 18 million followers on TikTok, and his food reviews have been featured on major news programs, including Inside Edtion. He has reviewed The Real Milk & Honey,  Juci Jerk, Atlanta Breakfast Club, Lil Baby’s The Seafood Menu, and most recently, Kandi Burruss’ ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant.

The Old Lady Gang, located in downtown Atlanta, is owned by Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker. As Rolling Out reports, in a now-viral TikTok video, Lee explained why his visit to the eatery did not go well

“Me and my family showed up, and we attempted to order before we got here. We called the number they had connected on Yelp three times… no answer. We tried to order through DoorDash, but it said it was temporarily closed. When we pulled up, I sent my family in to order for us. They said on the weekends, due to being busy, they don’t do any takeout at all.”

On Monday, Lee asked his followers to stop sending death threats to another Atlanta-based restaurant similarly named Milk & Honey — which he did not review, SandraRose.com reports.

“Specifically, don’t leave hate to Milk & Honey, they didn’t do anything,” he said in a video.

“I’m absolutely 100% not with that,” Lee said. “That’s so corny and so lame regardless of my opinion on any restaurant… We don’t do that over here at all. If you do that you are not somebody that watch me.”

He added: “Don’t leave hate nowhere.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with TODAY.com, Lee explained his journey to becoming a viral sensation.

“It took two years to get to 1.6 million. It took three months to get to 11 million and within those three months, I started doing full reviews every day,” Lee said. “I’m a foodie. I think I brought back natural foodies in the space of food critics. Most of the critics are polished and they only go to certain restaurants and they go to certain spots. They only stay in a certain niche.”
