*The family of Stephen “tWitch” Boss held a private funeral for him this week in Los Angeles, according to reports.
Boss died by suicide last month at age 40. He allegedly took his own life at an L.A. hotel on Dec. 13.
As Complex reports, Boss’ wife Allison Holker Boss said in a statement: Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
She continued, “To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” she continued. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.”

The DJ–turned–producer on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” was laid to rest Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles in an intimate family funeral, TMZ reports.
DeGeneres publicly commented on his death last month via a statement shared on Instagram: “I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia,” she wrote alongside a photo of her and tWitch hugging.
She also posted a video on Facebook showing her favorite moments with the “So You Think You Can Dance” star.
“Right now what I want to do is remember all the love and laughter I had with tWitch,” Ellen captioned the clip. “He brought so much joy to my life. I know he brought joy to yours too. I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite moments with him. If you want to you can also share yours. #ILovetWitch”.
