*We caught up with showrunner, writer, and executive producer Gary Lennon to unpack the final two episodes of “Power Book IV: Force” Season 2.

The S2 finale episode will premiere on Friday, November 10 at midnight ET on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms and internationally on the LIONSGATE+ premium streaming platform across the UK and Brazil. On linear, it airs on STARZ at 8PM ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada.

The second season of “Force” debuted in September and “is filled with more power and more problems as a turf war takes shape and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) charts his territory, capitalizes on his competitors’ weaknesses, and makes his play at becoming the sole drug distributor in Chicago,” per the news release.

In case you missed this season, here’s the synopsis: “Nothing stands in Tommy Egan’s way this season as he makes his play at becoming the sole drug distributor in Chicago. Alliances form and competitors become targets as a turf war heats up and Tommy must race to stay one step ahead of everyone. Meanwhile, a federal task force is zeroed in on him and he has an eye on a special someone, forcing him to decide what he is willing to sacrifice to claim Chicago as his.”

“A couple of times throughout the season it was brought to me, ‘Do you want so-and-so to come back? Do you want so-and-so to be in this?'” Lennon explained in a new interview with The Messenger. “And I was like, ‘No.’ I think one of the weaknesses of the first season was that there were too many stories to follow, too many characters, and I wanted to focus on the characters that we had. And one of my dilemmas as storyteller taking over Season 2 was that I needed to constrict and contract the stories at the same time.”

If the show is renewed for a third season, Lennon said he has “a story in my mind where I will bring back a character from our Power OG world to intersect with Tommy Egan,” he told The Messenger. “I think it’d be a really cool, interesting reveal. I think that character intersecting in our world would make absolute sense and would dirty things up in a really good way that would excite me to write.”

Lennon co-wrote the S2 finale episode, which finds Tommy facing a tough decision about how much he is willing to sacrifice in pursuit of revenge and his long game to take over the Chicago drug game. We spoke to the EP exclusively about what he’s most excited about fans experiencing when they watch the episode, working with series star Joseph Sikora, and which characters from the Power-verse he finds most intriguing or challenging to write for.
