*Shannon Sharpe is officially out as co-host of FS1’s “Undisputed.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is officially my last day at work,” Sharpe said on Tuesday’s episode, New York Post reports. “After seven years, the train stops for Shannon Sharpe and ‘Undisputed’ right here.”

We reported previously that Shannon and Fox Sports decided on a buyout agreement and are departing ways amicably, according to the New York Post.

Sharpe also had an emotional message for Bayless during his last show — watch the Twitter clip below.

“I’ll never forget what you did for me,” Sharpe told Bayless. “All I ask is when you lay your head on your pillow at night, know I gave you everything I had.”

“The greatest compliment I can give you is you were a worthy adversary,” Bayless said.

Many sports fans believe the tension between Sharpe and Bayless over the past few months led to Shannon’s exit.

In January, Sharpe and Bayless sparred over a controversial tweet about Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin after he suffered cardiac arrest on-field.

As we reported, Bayless pissed off a lot of people when he questioned how the NFL could possibly postpone the game between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals after Hamlin collapsed. Medics had to administer CPR at the stadium and the 24-year-old player needed to be resuscitated twice.

Skip’s insensitive tweet touched fans, players, and apparently, Sharpe, who spoke his mind.

“There’s been a lot of speculation about why I wasn’t on air yesterday and I won’t get into speculation, conjecture, innuendo, but I will say this,” Sharpe stated at the time. “In watching that game Monday night, what happened to Damar Hamlin struck me a little different.”

Sharpe continued: “As a brotherhood in the NFL, when injuries happen, we know injuries are part of the game. I’ve seen guys suffer ACLs, an Achilles tear, but I’ve never seen anybody revived or have to fight for their life on the field. So it struck me a little differently because I remembered seeing my brother [Sterling Sharpe] paralyzed on the field temporarily, and he was able to regain focus.”

He also noted that Bayless “tweeted something” that he “disagreed with,” adding that he hoped his co-host “would take it down.”

But Bayless refused to delete the tweet.

Meanwhile, Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast is also leaving Fox Sports.
