*Of late, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in the news for different reasons: they traded away Russell Westbrook, future NBA Hall-of-Famer, while Lebron James became the all-time top scorer in the history of the league. They also recently acquired Malik Beasley from the Utah Jazz in yet another trade.
But going by ex-NFLer and now sports talk host Shannon Sharpe‘s reasoning, the Los Angeles Lakers may still have to prepare for another trade. Here is the reason: Scotty Pippen, Jr., son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Scottie Pippen, currently plays for the team. Malik Beasley, whom the same team recently acquired, dated Pippen’s mother, Larsen Pippen, over two years ago.
So, Pippen will be playing alongside his mother’s ex.
For Shannon Sharpe, this should not be happening.
Shannon Sharpe has proposed that Pippen should demand to be traded away to prevent any friction that may come out when playing alongside a man who dated his mother. It doesn’t matter that the relationship was short-lived.

During a recent episode of “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless, Sharpe argued that Pippen should request to be separated from his mother’s ex-lover.
“If I’m Scotty Pippen Jr., I want a trade,” Sharpe said. “Malik Beasley coming on my team, I gotta go! I will fight it!'”
The audience burst out laughing because many in attendance were familiar with the story he was referring to. However, the host, Skip Bayless, turned out to be in the dark and unable to fill the gaps without a helping hand.
“Because?” Bayless asked. “You know why! I got to go, I want a divorce!” Sharpe answered.
Once he got the point, the host tried to steer the conversation back to basketball. However, Sharpe still drifted away, reiterating that Pippen shouldn’t have to be a teammate with someone who dated his mother but is not his father.
“I just can’t play for the Lakers no more. I want out!” Sharpe cried.
Meanwhile, Pippen’s mother now dates Marcus, the son of Scottie Sr.’s former teammate, Michael Jordan.
