R&Bs’ Ace, Rapper Lil Hyste, Pop’s Cole Diamond Win Big at Baltimore’s ‘ULMII’ Entertainment Conference

*The 24th annual Baltimore “Uplifting Minds II” Entertainment Conference recently announced the winners of its National Talent Competition who won over $18,000 in cash, product, and services, along with the “ULMII Award.” Winners include Alternative R&B’s Ace from Houston won 1st place, rapper Lil Hyste from Wisconsin won 2nd place and Pop’s Cole Diamond from Los Angeles won 3rd place.

All three are previous winners of the ‘ULMII’ National Talent Competition. Ace and Cole Diamond previously won best vocalists, and Lil Hyste previously won best songwriter. The competition welcomes all genres of music and singers, songwriters, dancers, and actors.

Celebrating 24 years of community service in 2023, the free ULMII Entertainment Conference was forced online during the Covid pandemic, and it is currently still held virtually serving communities on a global level. In 2023 it was recently held from Baltimore (April 15, 2023) and it will be held from Los Angeles (November 11th). Previously the Baltimore ULMII was held at Security Square Mall and the Los Angeles ULMII was at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Plans are underway to include a hybrid version of ULMMI at these venues and virtually. Held recently ULMII offered a panel of entertainment industry professionals for a Q&A Session and to judge the national talent competition, a professional showcase of artists signed to independent record labels and agencies which include Country/Rock singer/songwriter Jay P (Grace Musicians Group), and its national talent competition that had performances by artist from England, Houston, Wisconsin, Los Angeles and Washington, DC. The ‘ULMII” Entertainment Conference ended with a performance by 2022 ULMII winner dancer Tiarah Williams from Washington, DC.

Moderated by ULMII Founder Dr. Eunice Moseley, and hosted by comedian/actress Doresa Harvey, panelists included Publisher Dr. Lee Bailey (EURweb.com); actor Steven Littles (“The Mentalist”); Artist Manager and Film Producer Dr. Kerri Moseley-Hobbs (ImaginationLunchbox.com); actress Rama Montakhabi (“BMF,” Creed III); Soprano Opera Singer Cheryl Warfield (MoreOpera.com); Actor (PBS’ The Abolitionist) and Filmmaker Anthony Michael Hobbs (Anthony-Michae.com); Dash Radio Host, Screenwriter/Director and Distiller of Papi’s Bourbon (PapisBourbon.com) Michelle A. Dukes, and Consul Paul Gardner, II (TheGardnerLawGroup.com).

The prizes that are awarded to Ace, Lil Hyste and Cole Diamond include music contract consult from Consul Paul Gardner, II (TheGardnerLawGroup.com); a package of music contracts from Attorney Richard Jefferson (LawyersRock.com); recording studio time and music track from music producer V.I.P. (Dust Dem AFF Productions); artist management consult from Artist Manager Dr. Kerri Moseley-Hobbs (Anthony-Michael.com); vocal or acting coaching from Artist Development Specialist Nadiyah Kareem (Superstar Enter); mixing and mastering from music engineer/producer Jay Wiz (Blaze4GloryMusicGroup.com); business or public relations consult from Business/PR Strategist/Consultant Dr. Eunice Moseley (Freelance Associates), and vocal or stage coaching from Soprano Opera Singer Chery Warfield (MoreOpera.com). The ULMII competition also offers a dance scholarship but only to dancers, curtesy of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (Los Angeles). Cash prizes include $500 to 1st place winner (Ace), $250 to the 2nd place winner (Lil Hyste) and $100 to the 3rd place winner (Cole Diamond).
