*A former teacher at Donda Academy claims in a newly filed lawsuit that he was fired after complaining about the school’s poor conditions.

Isaiah Meadows is taking legal action against Kanye West (aka Ye), alleging students at Donda Academy and Yeezy Christian Academy were “exposed to the elements” because the windows and skylight had no covering. Meadows served as an assistant principal and claims the school had no windows because Ye “did not like glass,” as reported by Billboard.

“In the middle of the main classroom, a skylight was left without glass inevitably allowing rain to fall directly inside, where water would soak into the floor, which would lead to a moldy smell for the next few days,” the suit reads, Complex reports. “The skylight was intentionally without glass because WEST expressed that he did not like glass.”

As Complex reports, Meadows also claims the school had “serious wiring issues” that ultimately led to an electrical fire and a septic would “overflow every other day, causing a terrible smell.”

Meadows is among a handful of former staffers and parents who’ve publicly spoken out about Ye’s poor handling of Donda Academy.

A separate lawsuit claims Ye banned Black history books at Donda Academy,.

Former Donda Academy teacher Cecilia Hailey is suing the rapper as well as the school and its directors for racial discrimination and wrongful termination, Page Six reports. The rapper launched his Christian prep school in Simi Valley, California, with the aim of providing “the youth with the passion, purpose and spiritual foundations they need to thrive in tomorrow’s world,” according to its website.

Hailey claims Ye banned books that would encourage critical thinking skills, such as “The Lost Boys of Sudan,” by Mark Bixler.

Donda Academy closed in October 2022 after several staff members quit when Ye went on an anti-Semitic rant.

Another Donda Academy employee, Chekarey Byers, is suing Ye for alleged retaliation after reporting “unlawful and unsafe practices” in the school.

A third teacher, Timanii Meeks, joined Hailey and Byers’ lawsuit, claiming there were “significant issues with bullying and assault” at the school.
