*Kelis and actor Bill Murray have reportedly called it quits after allegedly dating for two months.
“Kelis and Bill were — and still are — very fond of each other but things just ran their course,” the source told The Sun. “They both have busy schedules and after a whirlwind romance, decided to go their separate ways.”
The 44-year-old singer and the 72 veteran actor sparked dating rumors in June when the “Ghostbusters” star was spotted supporting Kelis at her live shows, according to the US Sun. Murray also caught her performance at the Mighty Hoopla festival in South London this summer, Page Six reports.
Insiders told the US Sun that the duo have been “getting close for a while.”
“They’ve met up in the States before which got people in the industry talking, and now are meeting up in London while they’re both here. They’ve clearly hit it off,” a tea spiller previously shared.
“They were both seen at the same hotel, and he’s been to watch her perform several times before he went to Mighty Hoopla,” the source added.
“But they’ve also both shared relatively recent bereavements and have that common bond between them,” the “friend” continued.
“Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap.”
But Kelis, who lost her husband Mike Mora to cancer in 2022, reportedly pulled the plug on the romance with Murray due to their conflicting schedules, The Blast reports.
Kelis was famously married to rapper Nas for 11 years and they share a 13-year-old son.
