*Jeannie Mai says she is committed to putting herself first amid her divorce battle with her estranged husband, rapper Jeezy.

“I think we as women specifically don’t hear it enough that there is no greater love in your life, even as a mom, that you will ever get from anybody other than yourself. That is the first love of your life, and that will be the last love of your life,” Mai, 44, shared with People in a new interview.

“As women, we look to our partners, we look to our parents, we look to our jobs, way more than we do ourselves, me included. And this year, I am putting myself front row,” she added.

Mai will co-host “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024″ in Los Angeles on Sunday, and the gig comes as a welcoming distraction from her legal battle with Jeezy.

As we reported… Jeezy filed for divorce in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sept. 14, after two-and-a-half years of marriage. According to People, the filing says the marriage is “irretrievably broken” with “no hope for reconciliation.”

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Mai insists she “remains committed to facilitating and encouraging” Jeezy’s involvement with their 1-year-old daughter.

“It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecure in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s wellbeing,” the docs read.

“I’m really having a very humbling moment right now, where I need to really revisit what Jeannie needs. And that is a new beginning for me,” Mai told People before gushing about co-hosting the New Year’s Eve show.

“My family and I watched Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve every single year when I was a little girl, because it was the root of the party. It was what we looked forward to, what we dressed up for. Everybody gathered around this little TV,” she recalled.

“And now, to be here on screen, my mom actually thinks my career counts. Now, it matters. Now, she’s proud,” Mai continued. “So this is a big moment for me.”

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024” will air LIVE on ABC on Dec. 31, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
