‘Imani’ Star Brittany Hall Says New BET+ Thriller is ‘More Than You Can Imagine’

*Brittany Hall is shining as the lead in the new BET+ action/thriller film “Imani.”

Starring alongside Hall in the Mike Ho-directed film is Demetrius Shipp Jr., Stephen Bishop, Kris D. Lofton, Elyse Mirto, Sydney-Lake Bradley, Brittany B., Azur-De Johnson, Jay Montalvo, Mahmoud Mahmoud, Corey Calliet “Khalil” Dames, Isaac Montgomery, Manny Halley, Graciela Patino and more.

On January 4, Faith Media Distribution along with Manny Halley Production in partnership with BET+, hosted the Los Angeles premiere screening for ‘Imani,’ uniting the fast-paced film’s cast and other Hollywood stars such as Darious McCrary, Maryam Basir, Iyana Halley, Andra Fuller, Zay Wilson, Jhone Y. Lucas, Kelsey Corrine, Larry Drew II, Joshua Coates, Slink Johnson, Joy McElveen and more.

“Imani” sees Faith Newford’s (Hall) life picking up “a year after what she thinks was a car accident, a seemingly normal wife and mother slowly recovers from amnesia, only to learn that she is actually a highly sought after Army Special Ops Lieutenant who holds a secret that would blow the lid on a widespread government conspiracy,” according to the film’s press release.

Speaking with Hall at the LA premiere, Hall described her character as “resilient” and a “bad-ass,” adding, “She forgot who she was but she remembers in the end I feel like a lot of people can relate to that.”

Hall also shared what it was about the script that stood out and made her want to be a part of this project.

“In the script for me, there was a beautiful balance of her vulnerability with her toughness,” Hall said at the LA premiere. “That to me was something that I really loved because that’s something that I really wanted to play. I love vulnerability and the ability to be just as strong as you are as soft. I really wanted a role like that. When this came to me I was like, “ooh yes. This is it.”

When asked to describe the film in one sentence, Hall stated, “More than you can imagine.”

As for what fans can expect next from Hall, she said you should “Have no expectations,” adding, “I just surprise you.”

“Imani” is streaming BET+ and is also available in select theaters.
