*Azealia Banks may be trying to wipe the slate clean with Lizzo, but she seems to be starting a new slate of beef with Busta Rhymes.
Referencing Uproxx, Love B Scott reports the outspoken rapstress went to social media to post a series of comments, apologizing for past comments made to the “It’s About Damn Time” vocalist about her body.
“I was having a conversation last night and realized that I owe Lizzo a huge apology for popping so much sh*t,” wrote Banks wrote on her official Instagram page.
Despite offering an olive branch to Lizzo, the action looks to be a one-time deal.
In the post after her apology, Banks took aim at rap icon Busta Rhymes over the very thing she went at Lizzo over. Despite collaborating with the former Leaders of the New School member on her song “Taste State,” Banks did not hold back in taking Rhymes to task over his physique.

“If hip-hop will a 55+ several overweight Busta Rhymes, who exhibits major signs of anabolic steroid abuse, adrenal gland failure, and constipation, and will also allow him to have a face full of blackheads and acne from what appears to be testosterone shot abuse… All whilst drinking molly water in 2023 and wearing cartoon-like neon yellow fake gold Slick Rick chains… We have absolutely no right to be trying to skewer a young Black woman for anything,” Banks wrote about the “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” rhyme slayer.
Busta is the latest entertainer to feel the wrath of Banks’ words. He joins a well-known list of targets that includes Joe Budden, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Iggy Azalea and Lana Del Rey, among others.
As a result, Banks’ remarks have put her social media accounts on suspension. Whether Banks’ comments on Rhymes result in the same fate remains to be seen.
As of this posting, the rapper/actor and Lizzo have yet to respond to Banks and her remarks.
