*Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes discussed their firing from “Good Morning America” on the premiere episode of a new iHeartMedia podcast.
“The best way to sum us up, Amy and T.J., is that we’re the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other,” Holmes said on the premiere of the “Amy & T.J” podcast, which debuted Dec. 5, Variety reports.
According to Variety, the lovebirds are expected to use the platform to address their relationship for the first time in a public forum.
ABC News booted Robach and Holmes in January after their affair was publicly revealed. The network parted ways with the couple because their relationship had become “an internal and external disruption,” ABC News president Kim Godwin told staffers in a call in December 2022, per Variety.
Robach said she and T.J. have “gone through a year of hell” since ABC axed them from “GMA.”

“Relationships are hard, they’re messy, they’re not perfect,” she said. “We have fought for love, and I can say I have never been happier. I am with my best friend.”

Holmes was in a 10-year marriage with ex-wife Marilee Fiebig when he began dating Robach. They share a 10-year-old daughter, and he also has two children with his ex-wife, Amy Ferson.
“She did not know [T.J] was having an affair,” an insider previously said of Fiebig to Us Weekly, noting that before the divorce was finalized, Fiebig was “disappointed by his lack of discretion and respect for her and their marriage.”
Robach was married to actor Andrew Shue when the affair with Holmes was revealed. She has two daughters with ex Tim McIntosh.
Meanwhile, according to USA Today, the ex-spouses of Holmes and Robach are dating.
Page Six reports that Shue, 56, and Fiebig, 46, have been trauma bonding for about six months.
“It turned into something else, and they’re connected over their values. It’s bigger than the affair now,” one source said.
Another insider added, “They’re not heartbroken and sad. Everyone has moved on.”
