*A Wisconsin mother of four was allegedly shot in the face and killed by her 10-year-old son for refusing to buy him a $500 VR headset.
After the boy killed his mother, Quiana Mann, 44, he put the gun in a closet and prosecutors claim he used her credit card to purchase an Oculus VR headset, ABC News reports.
The child did not initially confess the truth about the killing to relatives. When he told his older sister that their mother was dead, she called 911. The boy ultimately confessed to the heinous crime and apologized to his grandmother while allegedly inquiring about the delivery status of the headset package.
According to The Daily Mail, during a recent court appearance, the boy’s attorney, Angela Cunningham, asked Judge Jane Carroll to lower his bail to only $100, the amount the boy has in his piggy bank, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

“We have spoken to him about his ability to post anything,” Cunningham told the court.
“He told us about piggy banks with savings that he had from gifts, from birthday gifts. And scavenging through cushions in the couch that he’s been able to save up.”
Judge Jane Carroll denied the request.

Family members say the child has “rage issues” and hears voices from imaginary people.
Per Wisconsin state law, he is being charged as an adult with first-degree reckless homicide. If convicted, the boy faces up to 60 years in prison.
He is currently being held in juvenile detention.
