*It seems the Jussie Smollett hate crime drama will never end, as there’s been a new update in the controversial case.
Smollett reportedly had a romantic relationship with one of his alleged attackers.
“They used to party together and he had a sexual relationship with [Abel],” the insider said. “They went to this affluent Chicago bathhouse multiple times and they had to show ID. It’s known as a bathhouse where a lot of affluent black gay men hang out. There should be a record [of their visits].”

Smollett was indicted earlier this year on new charges related to his “hoax” attack in January 2019, when he claimed to have been the victim of a racist, homophobic assault in Chicago. But cops determined he paid Abel and his brother Ola to help him stage the attack in an elaborate hoax because he was unhappy with his “Empire” salary and wanted sympathy to secure a fatter paycheck.
Smollett was indicted on 16 counts for filing a false police report after alleging two masked men hurled anti-gay slurs at him, doused him with bleach and tied a noose around his neck. The charges were ultimately dropped but a special prosecutor was assigned to review the case last summer.
In March, Smollett was re-charged with lying to police in a six-count, grand jury indictment.
The insider tells Page Six that the bathhouse records may be subpoenaed in Smollett’s upcoming trial.
The Osundairo brothers alleged that Smollett paid them to carry out the attack, and claim they ae not gay.
They sued Smollett’s lawyers after they insinuated on “Good Morning America” that Smollett and Osundario had a sexual relationship.
A judge dismissed the defamation suit last month.
Smollett continues to deny claims that he and the brothers worked together to stage the attack.
