*”Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman goes from an Avenger to avenging the deaths of fellow officers in his new film “21 Bridges.” The movie also stars Stephan James of “If Beal Street Could Talk” fame.
Boseman plays a dedicated detective who has a reputation for being a quick shooter. When several cops are killed by James’ and Taylor Kitsch’s (“Friday Night Lights”) characters, who better to call and get justice for the slain officers than the guy that’s guaranteed to shoot first and ask questions later.
Boseman’s character, detective Andre Davis, has only a few hours to catch the two shooters. With the help of a fellow officer played by Sienna Miller, they shut down the city of Manhatt
an it hopes to catch the two before they are able to escape for good.
From the shoot-out at the beginning of the movie to the manhunt, this film is both action-packed and suspenseful.
“It keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time,” says Boseman.

Boseman’s right. There isn’t a dull moment in the film and with all the action scenes we were curious as to what he and James did to prepare for their characters. Our correspondent L.Marie sat down with them to find out what was on their playlist during filming.
“I think you gotta have some New York in there you know, you gotta have some like Jay (Jay-Z). Maybe a little 50 (50 Cent) in there to get you in the mindset,” says James about his playlist.
Listening to 50 to get in the right mindset? You know this movie is going to be crazy!
Now Boseman’s playlist, on the other hand, was more mellow.
“For me, mine was Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang and a little bit of Trib (Tribe Called Quest),” Boseman.
