*Wendy’s is making a major upgrade to its beloved Frosty lineup, introducing two new varieties that will permanently expand the menu. Fans of the iconic treat have long had to choose between just two flavors at a time. But that’s all changing, according to All Recipes.
Wendy’s Expands the Frosty Lineup
Until now, Wendy’s seasonal flavors, like Strawberry, Pumpkin Spice, and Salted Caramel, would rotate in and out, often at the expense of the Vanilla Frosty. However, the recent success of the Thin Mints Frosty, which introduced a customizable cookie butter swirl, proved that Frostys could evolve.
During Wendy’s Investor Day, the company announced its new Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions, giving customers even more ways to enjoy the frozen treat.
“Frosty is one of the most iconic items on Wendy’s menu and we know that consumers are increasingly seeking new flavors and variety,” said Lindsay Radkoski, Wendy’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer. “Our new Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions will give our fans even more ways to enjoy this classic treat.”

What Are Frosty Swirls and Frosty Fusions?
Like the Thin Mints Frosty, Frosty Swirls will allow customers to enhance their Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty with a flavorful sauce. Frosty Fusions take it a step further by adding mix-ins for an even more indulgent experience.
While Wendy’s has yet to reveal the exact sauces and mix-ins, the brand’s promotional images suggest options like caramel sauce, cookie crumbles, and strawberry-flavored toppings—possibly inspired by Pop-Tarts.
A New Look for Frostys
Alongside these new Frosty creations, Wendy’s is also updating the way they’re served. The chain will introduce redesigned cups, lids, and custom blue spoons. “This spoon allows customers to get every bit of Frosty goodness out of the bottom of the cup,” Radkoski explained.
More Exciting Collaborations
In addition to its Frosty innovations, Wendy’s has teased another bold partnership. The brand confirmed plans to collaborate with Takis, the fiery rolled tortilla chips, later this summer. While details remain scarce, fans can likely expect a spicy, crunchy twist on a classic Wendy’s item.
Though Wendy’s hasn’t announced exact release dates for Frosty Swirls, Frosty Fusions, or the Takis collaboration, one thing is clear—this spring and summer will be packed with exciting new flavors at Wendy’s.
