Taking to social media, the “Scarred” hitmaker (born Luther Campbell) discussed the fractured relationships with his offspring, via a Lipstick Alley posting.
In his eyes, Campbell claims his kids’ resentment towards him largely stems from their mothers, despite paying millions in child support.
“That’s $2.7 million in child support,” the Miami music/rap icon stated May 11 in an Instagram livestream. “Yes, that is what I paid. Now I got the numbers, ’cause I never added it up. And that’s not including paying the attorney’s fees, so it’s well over $3 million. Because you’ve got to pay the other side’s attorneys’ fees.”
As the message continued, Campbell spoke openly on his views regarding the mothers’ influence on how the children perceive him, not leaving any doubt on where the disconnect comes from.

“They would not dare call me and say, ‘Happy Father’s Day’ because the motherf**kers turned them against me,” he said. “Which is okay. God has a way of teaching people.”
As for the children specifically, Luke claimed the kids are hypocrites, suggesting that while their disdain for him is apparent, they still capitalize on his name.
“I tell all my kids, if you hate me that much, change your last name,” the entertainer added. “Nobody wants to do that.”
Luke’s comments about his kids and their mothers marks the latest development surrounding his turbulent relationship with his family. Chronicling the drama, Lipstick Alley noted the rhymesayer’s legal trouble from 2019, after he was arrested for falling $1l0,000 behind on child support payments.
