*Boxing icons Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have inked a deal for a highly anticipated exhibition match slated for spring 2026, TMZ Sports has confirmed. Organized by CSI Sports/Fight Sports, the bout’s exact date and location remain undisclosed. Despite a historically rocky relationship, both fighters are gearing up for what promises to be a spectacle.
Tyson expressed excitement about the matchup. “This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen,” he said. “However, boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable — and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets.”
Iron Mike added, “I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it’s signed and it’s happening!”

Mayweather, confident in his unblemished legacy, dismissed any concerns about facing Tyson. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn’t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy,” he said.
“You already know that if I am going to do something, it’s going to be big and it’s going to be legendary. I’m the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want,” he continued. As an exhibition, the fight won’t jeopardize Mayweather’s perfect 50-0 professional record.
Tyson’s last professional bout was a high-profile November 2024 fight against Jake Paul, viewed by 108 million people, following a long hiatus since his 2005 match against Kevin McBride. Recently, Tyson addressed health rumors sparked by Paul during a livestream. Paul claimed, “Toad cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s so that he could come back and fight,” referencing toad venom use.
Tyson’s spokesperson swiftly denied this to TMZ, stating, “Mike is happy and perfectly healthy. He doesn’t have Parkinson’s or any other illness.”
Paul later clarified his remarks on X, writing, “Bruh…Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinsons..WTF. Why the fuck is the internet so stupid for. I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain. He has spoken about it many times. Just like I do. Just like many do.”
During their November 2024 fight, Paul won by unanimous decision and admitted to holding back to avoid injuring Tyson. “Yeah, definitely,” Paul said when asked if he dialed back in Round 3. “I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.”
Mayweather last fought professionally in 2017 against Conor McGregor. Since then, he’s participated in exhibitions, including one against Logan Paul.
