*OWN’s hit dating series “The Never Ever Mets” is making its highly anticipated return for Season 2 on Friday, April 4 at 8 PM ET/PT.
Hosted by Ta’Rhonda Jones (Empire), the show brings together seven couples who have formed deep connections online—but have never met in person. Now, they’ll finally come face-to-face and spend three weeks living together to see if their virtual romance can survive in the real world.
As the couples settle into a luxurious Los Angeles villa, they’ll face a whirlwind of emotions, surprises, and tests of their commitment. Jones, serving as both host and relationship mentor, guides them through bonding challenges, romantic dates, and revealing exercises that put their love to the test. While some couples strengthen their connections, others are met with unexpected red flags, shocking secrets, and tough reality checks that could jeopardize their relationships.
In the season premiere, long-time virtual couple Charli and Jared—who have been talking for over four years—must confront hidden life-changing secrets they’ve kept from each other. Meanwhile, Keke, a confident plus-sized model, and Brandon finally meet, but a personal habit of Keke’s raises unexpected concerns for her partner. As first impressions turn into first dates, will these couples find the spark they imagined, or will reality send them home single?
Following a successful first season, which became the #1 original series on ad-supported cable on its time slot among key African American demographics, Season 2 promises even more drama, romance, and jaw-dropping moments.
