*”The Family Plan 2,” the follow-up to the 2023 hit action-comedy, is now streaming exclusively on Apple TV.
Mark Wahlberg reprises his role as Dan, planning what should be a perfect overseas vacation for his wife Jessica, played by Michelle Monaghan, and their children.
Their plans quickly spiral out of control when a mysterious figure from Dan’s past, portrayed by Kit Harington, arrives with unresolved business, sending the family into a high-stakes international chase.
The story escalates into “bank heists, holiday hijinks, and car chases amid scenic European terrain.”

The film is an Apple Original from Skydance Media, directed and executive produced by Simon Cellan Jones and written and executive produced by David Coggeshall. The production team includes David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger for Skydance, with Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson representing Municipal Pictures, alongside John G. Scotti.
The ensemble cast also features Zoe Colletti, Van Crosby, Peter Lindsey, Theodore Lindsey, and Reda Elazouar. Simon Cellan Jones returns as director, with David Coggeshall once again handling the screenplay.
The first film, “The Family Plan,” debuted on Apple TV+ in December 2023 and introduced audiences to Dan, a suburban car salesman whose secret past as a government assassin forces him and his unsuspecting family on the run. While the original received mixed reviews, it quickly became one of the platform’s most-viewed titles. With “The Family Plan 2,” the story expands beyond suburbia, delivering even more action, family friction, and globe-trotting escapades.
