*Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled a first look at “The End of Oak Street,” an upcoming science fiction thriller that places a suburban family in extraordinary circumstances after a mysterious cosmic event changes their world overnight.
The film centers on the Platt family, whose neighborhood is suddenly removed from its familiar surroundings and transported to a prehistoric world. Forced to adapt to a reality unlike anything they have experienced before, the family must depend on one another as they navigate the dangers and uncertainties of their transformed environment.
Leading the cast are Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, who star alongside Maisy Stella and Christian Convery. The project comes from filmmaker David Robert Mitchell, who both wrote and directed the feature.

A newly released trailer offers a glimpse into the unsettling challenges awaiting the family as they attempt to understand what happened to Oak Street and how to survive in a place that no longer resembles the suburban community they once knew. The footage emphasizes both suspense and mystery while hinting at the larger forces behind the unexplained event.
The production brings together several notable names behind the scenes. J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, Matt Jackson, Tommy Harper and Mitchell serve as producers. Executive producing duties are handled by Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee and Leeann Stonebreaker. “The End of Oak Street” is a collaboration between Bad Robot Productions and Jackson Pictures.
Warner Bros. plans to release the film internationally beginning August 12, with North American audiences getting access on August 14. The movie will debut exclusively in theaters and IMAX, bringing the story’s large-scale mystery and visual spectacle to the big screen.
