*A new timeline has emerged for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ exit from federal custody. According to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, the rap mogul is now set for release on April 25, 2028, a date that comes weeks ahead of the June 4, 2028 schedule that had previously been established, Page Six reports.
The 56-year-old father of seven is serving his sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution, a low-security prison in New Jersey. On October 3, 2025, Combs was sentenced to four years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. The sentence came after his July 2 conviction on two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution involving Cassie Ventura, another former girlfriend, and male sex workers. He was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. Standing before the court during sentencing, Combs offered a raw and emotional acknowledgment of his conduct.
“Domestic violence will always be a heavy burden that I will have to forever carry,” he said. “My actions were disgusting, shameful and sick. I was sick, sick from the drugs, I was out of control, I needed help and I didn’t get the help, and I cannot make no excuse.”

He continued to reflect on everything the case had cost him. “I am just a human being, I was trying my best, I got lost in my excess and lost in my ego. Because of my decision, I lost my freedom and the opportunity to raise my children and be there for my mother. I lost all of my businesses and lost my career and destroyed my reputation and, most of all, I lost my self-respect. I have been humbled and broken to my core. I hate myself right now. I’ve been stripped down to nothing.” He added, “I will never jeopardize my family. No matter what anybody says, I know now I am truly sorry for it all.”
Attorney Douglas Wigdor, representing Ventura, responded to the outcome in a statement to E! News: “This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023. Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice.”
Wigdor added, “We must repeat – with no reservation – that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial.”
