*The comedy world is grieving the loss of Reginald “Reggie” Carroll, who was fatally shot in Southaven, Mississippi, on August 20. The 52-year-old comedian, known for his work with icons like Mo’Nique and Katt Williams, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Burton Lane and later succumbed to his injuries at Regional One Health in Memphis.
As the investigation unfolds, comedian Billy Sorrells is demanding answers, publicly criticizing the silence of prominent figures in the industry, Ice Cream Convos reports. Sorrells took to Instagram Live, slamming the silence from peers like Katt, Red Grant, and Mo’Nique. He alleged Carroll was killed at a home linked to Katt Williams, urging the media to investigate.
“Yeah, you might wanna go get TMZ for this one. Yeah, y’all might need to go start tagging the blogs. What we not going to do is we not going to act like Katt… You didn’t know who the f**k Reggie Carroll was,” Sorrells said.
Sorrells named Tranell Williams, arrested for Carroll’s murder, as a possible relative of Katt Williams. He questioned why no one helped Carroll, who was shot multiple times. “Tranell Williams. Got court on Wednesday, a six eight, two hundred and twenty five pound ni**a. Why y’all left Reggie out there on the motherf**king curb by your crib?” he demanded.
Tranell “Too Tall” Marquise Williams, Katt Williams’ bodyguard, was arrested on August 21 and charged with murder. He remains in custody without bond, with a court date set for August 27, per DeSoto County records.

Sorrells criticized attempts to obscure the shooting’s location, insisting on transparency. “Tell us why my ni**a dead. Katt, tell us why Reggie Carroll died at your house, ni**a. Don’t try and change the quick deed and say it ain’t your crib,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Carroll’s family demands the release of the arrest affidavit and evidence inventory. They seek details about the Burton Lane residence where the shooting occurred, according to HumorMillTV.com.
We reported earlier that Mo’Nique paid tribute to Carroll on social media. “This is why I say treat people the best you can because you never know if you’ll get a chance to see them again, and the last time me and my brother Reggie, girl, was together, that’s what it was, an amazing time,” she shared.
