Raymond Santana Talks Growth After Divorce From Deelishis
*Raymond Santana is finally opening up about his split from reality star Deelishis. In a November 18 podcast, the Exonerated Five activist called the divorce a “growth moment,” not a regret.
The couple married in June 2020 and divorced just 20 months later. Now 51, Santana says their values never aligned—he leaned traditional; she didn’t.
‘She’s Not Traditional’: Santana Gets Honest on Podcast
Speaking on the “All Eyes on E” podcast via Patreon, Santana revealed deep disconnects in the marriage. “I’m more traditional. She’s not traditional,” he said of Deelishis, whose real name is Chandra London Davis.
“I didn’t ask her to make a lot of changes, but it comes to a certain point in your life with maturity that you make those changes on your own,” Santana added. “And if I’m still growing and I don’t see you growing, and the kids are growing that are with us, then that doesn’t look right, you’re not a good example.”
He explained that maturity means evolving naturally, but felt Deelishis, 47, didn’t grow with him. He hinted that he was the only one modeling healthy habits for their blended family.

Santana Says He Outgrew the Relationship
After being wrongfully imprisoned as a teen, Santana says therapy and advocacy shaped his adult growth. He now runs Park Madison NYC and works with the Innocence Project.
Santana says he entered the marriage hoping for mutual evolution and stability. “I never regretted my marriage… I just grew from it,” he posted on X.

Public Fallout: Online Drama and Accusations
The split turned public in 2022, when Deelishis called Santana a “liar” and “cheat” on Instagram. He fired back, saying she walked out first and wasn’t committed to the family unit.
In later interviews, Santana alleged she was unfaithful. Deelishis mostly stayed quiet, aside from subtle social media jabs. By 2025, she referred to him as “heavy” in an interview clip, but hasn’t addressed the podcast yet.
Deelishis and Santana: Too Different From the Start?
Santana wanted traditional values. Deelishis, a mother of three known for her bold persona, didn’t fit the mold. Critics say he should’ve known that going in, but fans applaud his honesty and healing.
Online, the Raymond Santana divorce has sparked debate over gender roles and emotional maturity. “He wanted a tradwife. She wanted freedom. Simple,” one user posted on X.
Why the Raymond Santana Divorce Still Resonates
More than a celebrity breakup, the story reflects what happens when growth outpaces partnership. Santana says he was a solid husband and father figure—just misaligned with Deelishis’s direction.
His memoir “Pushing Hope,” which dropped on October 28, is adding more layers to his personal journey. In the meantime, his focus is on fatherhood, restaurant life, and moving forward in peace.
