*Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for “Ride or Die,” an upcoming action-comedy led by Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham.
The series arrives July 15, when all eight episodes will debut simultaneously on the streaming platform. Viewers in more than 240 countries and territories will be able to watch the new show exclusively through Prime Video.
At the center of the story are Debbie Claybourne and Judith Burton, two longtime friends who appear to know everything about one another. That assumption quickly unravels when Debbie learns that Judith has been living a double life as an international assassin, per the news release.
Their situation becomes even more complicated after a figure from Judith’s past resurfaces and a mission ends badly. Forced to leave their normal lives behind, the pair embark on a frantic journey across Europe while trying to stay ahead of multiple threats.

Law enforcement officers, skilled killers and dangerous criminals all pursue the women as the chase unfolds. The series combines high-stakes action with comedy while following the friends through an increasingly chaotic adventure.
Spencer and Waddingham not only star in the project but also serve as executive producers. The cast also includes Ed Skrein, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, Jacky Ido, Sylvia Hoeks and Bill Nighy.
“Ride or Die” comes from creator Tessa Coates, who executive produces alongside showrunner Matt Miller and director Peyton Reed.
With a mix of espionage, friendship and cross-country pursuit, the series sets the stage for a globe-spanning adventure when it premieres this summer. Watch the trailer above.
