The newly released teaser trailer reveals a fresh twist to the series, offering a new kind of Predator that departs from the monstrous humanoid creature fans are accustomed to. The movie features Elle Fanning as the lead character, Thia. Alongside her is Dimitrius Koloamatangi, who portrays a young Predator. The trailer hints at an intriguing partnership between Thia and the outcast Predator, as they join forces to combat a more formidable enemy. In the teaser, Thia ominously states, “You’re hunting something that can’t be killed,” setting the stage for the intense battles to come.
“Predator: Badlands” marks the return of director Dan Trachtenberg and screenwriter Patrick Aison, the duo behind the highly praised 2022 prequel “Prey,” which garnered four Emmy nominations. Their successful collaboration on “Prey” has generated high expectations for the new installment, which will continue the franchise’s legacy while exploring new narratives.
The first “Predator” film, released in 1987, became a cultural milestone, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and cementing the series as a defining force in sci-fi horror.
