*Pharrell Williams, through his company BBC Ice Cream LLC, has launched a $14 million lawsuit against Spreadshirt, a print-on-demand platform, for allegedly facilitating the sale of counterfeit Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) merchandise.
All Hip Hop reports that the legal action, filed in federal court, accuses Spreadshirt of enabling unauthorized sellers to produce and distribute fake BBC products, damaging the brand’s reputation, and misleading consumers. The complaint describes Spreadshirt as more than just a passive online marketplace.
The company is accused of actively participating in the counterfeiting process, handling everything from printing to packaging and shipping, while using “white-label” methods to hide its role.
According to the lawsuit, Spreadshirt has failed to implement adequate measures to prevent intellectual property theft, despite profiting significantly from these sales. “[Spreadshirt’s] conduct continues unabated, and the manufacture, publishing, advertising for sale and sales of counterfeit and infringing Products persist. BBC brings this action to put a stop to this ongoing unlawful conduct and to hold [Spreadshirt] accountable for their actions,” said Richard J. Pocker, attorney for Pharrell Williams.
BBC Ice Cream LLC alleges violations of federal trademark laws, including counterfeiting, trademark dilution, and false designation of origin. The company is seeking $14 million in damages, including punitive and compensatory awards, as well as attorney fees and a court order to halt Spreadshirt’s alleged infringement.

Founded in 2003 by Pharrell Williams and Japanese designer Nigo, Billionaire Boys Club has become a major force in streetwear. With sublabels like ICECREAM and Billionaire Girls Club, the brand operates flagship stores in New York and Miami and maintains a strong global footprint through retailers such as Nordstrom, Selfridges, Ssense, and END.
BBC’s legal action reflects ongoing efforts to defend its trademarks and preserve the authenticity of a brand that has resonated with streetwear enthusiasts for over twenty years.
