
*OWN and the NAACP joined forces for on Dec. 1 for an exclusive celebration at The Aster Club, honoring community, partnership, and storytelling that positively shapes culture.
Attendees included OWN President Tina Perry, spiritual coach Iyanla Vanzant, Amber Stevens West, Corbin Reid, cast members from *Love & Marriage: Huntsville*, and executive producer Carlos King. The evening brought together industry leaders, NAACP members, and press for a night of recognition and shared appreciation, per the news release.
Guests walked a glamorous black carpet before the event kicked off with remarks from Tina Perry, who emphasized the networks’ shared mission of uplifting diverse voices and impactful narratives. Attendees enjoyed a VIP experience complete with specialty cocktails, heavy bites, and music from DJ Dar.Jar. The venue featured interactive branding, a step-and-repeat, and a “Hollywood” portrait station for memorable photo opportunities.

As a token of the evening’s spirit, guests received custom blankets symbolizing the warmth and connection fostered through the partnership between OWN and the NAACP. The celebration highlighted the cultural impact of OWN’s programming and the network’s commitment to stories that resonate with audiences.
OWN’s December lineup includes new episodes of the hit dating series “Ready to Love,” airing Fridays at 8 PM ET/PT, showcasing Detroit singles navigating love with host Tommy Miles. Premieres include “Soul Train & Soul Mates” (Dec. 5), “Diddy Pose” (Dec. 12), and dual finales on Dec. 19, “Meet the Detroit Exes” and “Meet the Detroit Friends.”

“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” continues Saturdays at 8 PM ET/PT with episodes including “Destiny’s Men-ifesto” (Dec. 6), the holiday special “Christmas After Dark” (Dec. 13), and “Nell in a Handbasket” (Dec. 27). Additional holiday programming features “The Christmas Showdown” (Dec. 6) and “Very Merry Mystery” (Dec. 13).
OWN also showcases “Reality With the King” with executive producer Carlos King, featuring the “Jingle With the Belles Edition” holiday special on Dec. 20. Looking ahead, Iyanla Vanzant returns with “IYANLA: THE INSIDE FIX,” premiering January 17, 2026.
