*The divorce proceedings between rapper Offset and Cardi B have taken a new turn, with Offset now requesting spousal support from his estranged wife.
According to court documents filed in Bergen County Superior Court in New Jersey, as reported by TMZ, the Migos rapper and self-proclaimed “Young Rich Ni**a” amended his response to Cardi’s August 2025 divorce petition to include a demand for alimony, though the amount remains unspecified.
Cardi initiated the divorce after six years of marriage, with her representative describing the split as “amicable.” She is seeking primary custody of their three children. The couple’s separation has been far from harmonious, with public disputes amplifying their legal battle.
Offset’s request for spousal support suggests financial considerations are now a central issue, though details of the rapper’s reasoning remain undisclosed. The move comes amid a backdrop of social media spats and public statements, indicating a contentious road ahead.
Cardi has not publicly addressed Offset’s alimony request.

Earlier this year, Cardi B accused Offset and his mother, Latabia Woodward, of stealing from her during a discussion on X Spaces. While she didn’t provide specific details about the alleged theft, the hip-hop star also claimed that Offset didn’t buy Christmas gifts for their children.
“I ain’t listen after you and your momma robbed me,” the Grammy-winner said on X Spaces on Jan. 14, Billboard reports. “Yeah, you and your mom robbed me cold, wiped my nose. Told you stop f—ing playing with me.”
Cardi explained that while Offset didn’t play Santa Claus for their kids, he went on a shopping spree for his children with other women.
“You just called your daughter for the first time this year, yesterday. Your newborn. You love your kids so much and you didn’t bought them s–t for Christmas,” Cardi B said. “But you came to New York to buy your other kids gifts. But you didn’t bought my kids s–t on purpose to spite me. Mind you, we was cool. We wasn’t f—ing, but we was cool. Stop f—ing playing with me.”
During her rant, Cardi confessed that she “couldn’t even enjoy [her] own wins because [she] felt like he was going through something.”
She continued: “And this is the realest s–t somebody could ever do for you. I used to pray for this person before I prayed for myself. And then this motherf—-r had the nerve to say that I was being ‘competitive.’”
