*La La Anthony is embracing discretion when it comes to her love life following her 2021 divorce from NBA star Carmelo Anthony.
During a candid conversation on Complex’s 360 With Speedy, she revealed her preference for keeping relationships private until they’re solid. “I think it’s good to keep things private until you feel like you’re ready for the world to know about it,” she told host Speedy Morman, noting that premature public exposure can complicate things.
Anthony cautioned against rushing to share new romances online, explaining how external opinions can taint the excitement. “And a lot of times we get so excited when we meet somebody that it’s like, ‘I want to post. I want the world to know I’m so into this,’” she said.
“Then the comments come and the phone calls and then you’re like, ‘This just doesn’t feel as good as it did when we were keeping it private.’” She advised waiting until one is ready for the scrutiny that follows public announcements.
In a playful moment, Anthony recently posted a TikTok where she jokingly tried pulling a man into view, sparking speculation about a new partner. When Morman called it a “soft launch,” she laughed it off but admitted enjoying the buzz.

“It’s fun to see how invested people are into it,” she said, surprised by fans’ curiosity. She added that teasing a relationship with “just a little peek” can be a fun way to engage without revealing too much.
Anthony noted that she remains wary of dating platforms like Raya, popular among celebrities. The BMF star, who co-parents 18-year-old son Kiyan with Carmelo, also reiterated her stance against remarriage. In a 2022 Breakfast Club interview, she said, “And I’m not knocking anybody who’s married, it didn’t work for me,” citing the legal and business-like complexities of marriage as reasons to avoid it.
