*Jodie Turner-Smith and her attorney Laura Wasser have filed a request for the court to compel her ex-husband Joshua Jackson to begin making monthly support payments during the ongoing divorce process.
As we reported earlier, Turner-Smith is seeking $8,543 per month for child support for their four-year-old daughter, Juno, as well as $28,641 per month in spousal support. Initially, when she filed for divorce in October 2023 after four years of marriage, Jodi opted to block the court from awarding spousal support to either party. However, circumstances have changed, and she now claims that Jackson’s actions have necessitated this request.
According to InTouch, the actress said her monthly expenses include $40,000 in rent, $509 for childcare, $1,800 on groceries, $2,612 on clothes, $3,291 on entertainment, $2,000 on auto expenses, and $6,000 to support family members. She also wants Jackson to cover over $412,000 she paid for legal fees related to the divorce.
Per InTouch, in a declaration, Jodie said, “During our marriage, Josh historically made more money than me and at times, significantly more.”
Since the separation, Turner-Smith noted in the declaration, “I have tried my best to keep the situation amicable and resolve the pending financial matters to take as much pressure off our daughter in the interim.”

Jodie added, “However, Josh has paid me $0 in guideline child and/or spousal support since our separation. He has also made $0 contribution to my attorneys and forensic accountant fees.”
The British model said, “I have done everything I can to meet Josh halfway on every issue, to no avail. All I have asked for since the inception of this matter is to be allowed to maintain the strong relationship between Juno and me while managing a full-time work scheduled to support our daughter and myself.”
Jodie said that during their marriage, Joshua introduced her to a lifestyle of luxury.
“We enjoyed all the amenities of the lifestyle of a global superstar and, of course, our daughter enjoyed these experiences,” she shared.
Although she contributed $800,000 to the down payment on the house, Jodie claims Joshua asked her to leave after their breakup.
“I have since had to establish my residence based on where I am able to find work, more specifically, in London UK, for the last several months,” she revealed.
“All I want is to be able to afford to purchase a home in Los Angeles and to support our daughter,” Jodie wrote. “Josh promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.”
“Now, he is reneging on that promise and using litigation tactics and delay to pressure me into agreeing to a settlement that is neither equitable nor has any legal foundation,” she added.
