
*Four Fulton County Jail guards have been arrested for smuggling contraband like cell phones, cigarettes, and chicken pot pies to inmates.
SandraRose.com reports that the women —Laquana Ballard, 34, Regina Harris, 26, Anesia Silas, 24, and Aisha Tate, 26, have been granted a bond, with Sheriff Pat Labat condemning their actions.
Ballard is additionally charged with sending explicit content to an inmate, whereas Tate is accused of having inappropriate sexual relations with an inmate.
“These women unfortunately chose to be on the wrong side of the law by fraternizing with residents,” Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said in a statement. “They will now have to face the consequences for the crimes they are accused of committing.”
Investigators have also linked four inmates to these crimes, charging them with conspiracy to commit a felony and possession of contraband, per Fox 5 Atlanta. The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be filed.
