*Apple TV has released the trailer for the highly anticipated fifth season of “For All Mankind,” the award-winning space drama created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi. The 10-episode season will debut globally on March 27, with one new episode releasing every Friday through May 29.
Per the news release, set in the 2010s, the new season picks up years after the Goldilocks asteroid heist, with Happy Valley now a sprawling colony home to thousands of residents and a launching point for missions pushing deeper into the solar system. Tension mounts as Earth’s nations press for law and order on Mars, putting the planet’s residents at odds with their former home.

Returning cast members include Joel Kinnaman, Toby Kebbell, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, and Wrenn Schmidt. Joining them as new series regulars are Mireille Enos (“The Killing,” “Hanna”), Costa Ronin (“The Americans,” “Homeland”), Sean Kaufman (“The Summer I Turned Pretty”), Ruby Cruz (“Bottoms”), and Ines Asserson (“Royalteen”).
Emmy Award winner Moore and Emmy Award nominees Wolpert and Nedivi created the series, with Wolpert and Nedivi also serving as showrunners. They executive produce alongside Moore, Maril Davis of Tall Ship Productions, and several other producers. “For All Mankind” is produced for Apple TV by Sony Pictures Television. All four previous seasons are currently streaming on Apple TV.
