*DJ Vlad regrets his unprofessional behavior with Marlon Wayans after their interview negotiations fell apart.
We reported earlier that Vlad and Wayans sparred on social media after the comedian requested $40,000 to do an interview. Vlad said no one “is going to pay Marlon $40K for an interview” after an X user told the Wayans “@djvlad would have to pay me 500,000 for an interview with 55% of all revenue made from the video on all platforms!”
Marlon responded to the tweet, writing, “??? see i tried to tell him I was giving him a deal… oh well.”
DJ Vlad clapped back, tweeting, “Marlon Wayans found someone with 200 followers to agree with him. LOL. Nobody on earth is going to pay Marlon $40K for an interview when he gets 100k-300k views on any platform he interviews on. This guy is really delusional.”
In response, Wayans said, “You mad? You unprofessional my guy. If you don’t like the number, keep it moving. You look BAD. You should fall back. Mad at a black man stating his number? And now you go public and use your platform to try to drag me. I never in my life dealt with this silly negotiating tactic.”

Vlad discussed the incident during a recent interview with DJ Akademiks, and admitted, “I overdid it,” as it relates to Marlon.
“Honestly, at the end of the day, it was just a business negotiation,” he said. “I could’ve kept it to myself. I overdid it.”
He continued, “I do actually respect [him]. That was the reason I approached [him] in the first place,” Vlad said of reaching out to Wayans for an interview.
“My bad Marlon, I apologize […] It’s all good. I think most people just want to respect each other and I think it could have been handled a little differently.”
