The trailer mesmerizes the audience with new energy and vision, bringing a reimagining of the iconic superhero while setting the tone for a more grounded, human story beyond the man with the cape.
Warner Brothers held an advanced screening of the trailer, followed by a Q&A with writer-director James Gunn and the cast. Gunn expressed his vision for this new “Superman” film and talked about the concerns of staying true to a character we haven’t seen in a stand-alone film in almost a decade.
“For me, I wanted to tell a story that excited me and moved me. And felt authentic. I knew that I wanted to have a Superman that stayed true to his origins of being the ultimate good guy,” said Gunn.

Set to debut in the summer of 2025, “Superman” introduces David Corenswet as the new Clark Kent/Superman. The trailer shows a young, conflicted Clark struggling with the responsibilities that come with his incredible powers. Set against a world that views him with both awe and suspicion.
