*The U.S. government’s auction of Dame Dash’s one-third stake in Roc-A-Fella Records, originally scheduled for August 29, has been delayed to September 22.
Hot New Hip Hop reports that the auction aims to cover an $823K judgment Dash owes to Josh Webber from a 2022 lawsuit. Additionally, both New York City and the state are seeking funds from the sale due to Dash’s unpaid child support and significant tax debts. Dash allegedly owes $197,000 in unpaid child support and $8.7 million in unpaid taxes.
The delay of the auction allows time to set a higher minimum bid, with Webber’s attorney working on a plan to distribute the proceeds.
“We look forward to upcoming court conference so that all interested parties can be heard and the court can decide who gets what, and in what priority from the forthcoming public auction,” Dash’s lawyer, Natraj Bhushan, said.
Dash responded in a rant on Instagram Live. “They had some bum-a** board meeting and all of a sudden he gets first right of refusal. I don’t really care. It don’t slow nothing down for me,” he explained, per Hot New Hip Hop. “Now I don’t know how deep homie’s pockets is. I’m curious if he’s gonna match that. I put an offer on the table, lemme see if he’ll match it. But it was from other people.”

We reported earlier that the Roc-A-Fella co-founder previosuly spoke out about his financial challenges and the difficulties he faced in paying child support in the past.
“While I’m investing in something else, I might not be making the money and the profit, so I can’t afford to pay out what I was when I was having EBITA [earnings before interest, taxes, and amortization] of $8 million a year,” Dash said, Complex reported. “So you can’t judge how much I’m gonna pay out by how much I made 20 years ago.”
