It was back on Sept. 8 that LAPD officers responded to reports of a foul odor coming from a car at a Hollywood impound lot. Inside the front trunk of a black Tesla Model 3, police discovered human remains later identified as Celeste Rivas.
The vehicle had been towed two days earlier after sitting abandoned for about a month in the Hollywood Hills. Neighbors told NBC Los Angeles they had seen the car parked on their street for several weeks.

Who was Celeste Rivas Hernandez?
Celeste had been reported missing multiple times in 2024 from Lake Elsinore, California, according to Riverside County authorities. She was found dead just one day after her 15th birthday, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Loved ones described her as a “beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend” on a GoFundMe memorial page. A community vigil was held in her honor on Sept. 21, with neighbors expressing sorrow over the teen’s tragic death.
Items recovered from Hollywood Hills home linked to singer
In September, LAPD served a search warrant at a Hollywood Hills residence where d4vd had reportedly been staying. A police spokesperson told PEOPLE that “several items of evidence” were recovered at that time.
