
*BET Media Group has announced the first round of performers and events for BET Experience 2025.
The multi-day celebration in Los Angeles runs from June 5–8, leading up to the BET Awards on June 9, per BET.com. It will kick off with reggae legend Buju Banton headlining at the Hollywood Palladium. On June 8, the Roots Picnic makes its return with A Roots Picnic Experience: Class of ’95 at the Hollywood Bowl, featuring The Roots, Lil’ Kim, Redman & Method Man, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Raekwon, Goodie Mob, E-40, DJ Quik, and Havoc.
That same night, BET R&B Night will take over the YouTube Theater with performances from Jagged Edge, Donell Jones, and Eric Bellinger, along with an R&B ONLY set hosted by Tiára Monique and JABARI.

This year’s Experience expands into a weeklong celebration of Black excellence with FanFest, a free, family-friendly event at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 7 and 8. In addition, BET Experience will partner with the WayMaker Men’s Summit on June 5–6 at The Beehive by SoLa Impact. The summit focuses on uplifting and connecting men of color through dialogue and networking. Registration is open HERE.

The 2025 BET Awards are set for Sunday, June 29, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with Tracee Ellis Ross taking on hosting duties. The event will include performances from major artists, with more details on nominees and the full lineup coming soon.
