Smith was well-known for co-hosting V-103’s Frank and Wanda in the Morning show with Frank Ski from 1998 to 2012. The duo reunited in 2018 after she worked with Ryan Cameron for several years. Smith famously sparred with comedian Katt Williams during an interview back in the day.
V-103 paid tribute to Smith in an Instagram post, writing: “Our hearts are weighing heavier today as we grieve the loss of our beloved Wanda Smith, someone who always made us smile and who was a big part of V-103 for years. We extend our deepest prayers and condolences to her family,” the station wrote.
Ski also penned a touching message on social media, saying Smith’s death “hit me pretty bad.”
“I heard that she wasn’t doing well. She was a very private person, and I never expected that. It was tough,” Ski said.

“While we were on the air. It was almost like a husband and wife thing,” he explained. “She looked out for me like that. Our families were close like that. We knew everything about each other like that. We just lived in two different houses.”
Frank added, “She will go down in the history of Atlanta as one of the biggest givers the city has ever seen. I don’t know of another woman, outside of Elisabeth Omalami, that has given more than Wanda. She really was engaged in the situation and knew what they really needed, and sometimes it wasn’t money.”
Smith noted that he would not comment on Smith’s cause of death to respect her privacy.
“She was so private that myself, Rickey Smiley and others wanted to do a fundraiser for her, and she shut it down. She would not let us do it. She didn’t want people to know,” Ski added.
Smith is reportedly survived by her husband, LaMorris Sellers, and their three children.
