*Tina Knowles celebrated her 71st birthday on January 4, expressing her appreciation for another year.
She shared an Instagram tribute reposted from another account, which included clips of Tina singing “It’s my birthday, I’m gonna party,” as well as lip-syncing to her daughter Beyoncé’s “Savage” remix.
“I just came across this in my feed so cute ! @_beyonce_my_life__ I supposed you put this together,” she began the caption.
Ms. Tina’s tribute also featured photos of her with Beyoncé, Solange, Destiny’s Child, and her wearing a crown.
“Thank you so much ! I am so thankful To God today for so many things ! My family ! My friends , my health and my life!!!! I plan to have a Happy Birthday today Pray, Dance , laugh and love. Big!!!!,” the fashion designer added.

Tina announced her new memoir “Matriarch,” will be available on April 22, 2025. In October, she shared details about the project on Instagram, writing: “I have always been a storyteller, and it’s something I learned from my mother. When I had a family of my own, I believed that my daughters needed to know where they came from in order to know where they were going. I’m now ready to share my story with all of you, so that we can all celebrate these themes of strength, motherhood, Black pride, and identity.”
Knowles will share her life journey in the book, offering insights and lessons she wishes she’d known earlier.
“I am calling this book MATRIARCH because what inspires me is the wisdom that women pass on to each other, generation to generation — and the inner wisdom we long to uncover in ourselves,” she wrote.
In honor of Tina’s birthday, actress Octavia Spencer shared an Instagram tribute, writing: “Happy Birthday to the incomparable @mstinaknowles! ?✨ A queen of elegance, style, and strength who has inspired generations with her grace and creativity. Your heart is as big as your talent, and the world is better because of you. Wishing you a day filled with love, laughter, and all the joy you bring to others! ❤️?,” the actress captioned a photo of the pair together.
