*Disney+ is gearing up for the return of “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,” with its third season premiering on August 6.
The streaming platform also announced that the beloved animated series, led by creator Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar, has been greenlit for a fourth season in 2026. A vibrant new trailer showcases Penny Proud and her crew diving into global adventures filled with humor, heart, and self-discovery.
The revival continues to follow Penny, her parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, grandmother Suga Mama, and her dog Puff, alongside friends like Dijonay Jones, LaCienega Boulevardez, Zoey Howzer, Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, and Michael Collins. Season three introduces guest stars including Janelle James, Sanaa Lathan, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Lynn Whitfield, Adrienne Warren, Kirk Franklin, and Bubba Wallace, joining recurring voices like Keke Palmer, Billy Porter, Zachary Quinto, and Tiffany Haddish.
The core cast features Kyla Pratt as Penny, Tommy Davidson as Oscar, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama, and Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, among others.

Per the news release, the season boasts 10 new original songs crafted by Grammy-winning songwriter Roccstar, with Kurt Farquhar returning as composer. Produced by Disney Television Animation and BaR Productions, the series has earned critical acclaim, securing a NAMIC Award, multiple NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Animated Series, and a Children’s and Family Emmy for Outstanding Casting. It has also received nominations for GLAAD Media and Annie Awards.
“The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” builds on the legacy of the original series, with all episodes from its first two seasons and the classic series available to stream now on Disney+. Fans can expect a blend of nostalgia and fresh storytelling as Penny and her crew navigate new escapades in this celebrated revival.
